About Bailey

Hi, I'm Bailey.

I created this page during a season of my life when I felt completely burned out, overwhelmed, and lost. I was struggling to find peace in the middle of work, responsibilities, and the anxiety that seemed to follow me everywhere. In a time when I felt like I was losing pieces of myself, I found comfort in the one place I never expected: Adoration and the Holy Mass. Sitting in the presence of Jesus gave me a peace that the world couldn't offer me. This page is a place for me to share my journey of faith, the struggles of everyday life, and the beauty of finding Jesus in the middle of it all. My hope is that other people who feel overwhelmed, lost, or uncertain will find comfort here and be reminded that they don't have to have everything figured out for Jesus to meet them right where they are.

My Story

I grew up in Dallas, Texas, in a Protestant family. Like many people, my childhood and family life came with their own challenges. My parents divorced when I was younger, and although that was a difficult part of my story, they eventually found their way back to each other when I was older. Growing up, I didn't know exactly what my relationship with God would look like as an adult, and I certainly never imagined the path that would eventually lead me to the Catholic Church.

Then I met my husband, and little by little, my life began to change in ways I couldn't have predicted. Somewhere along the way, I began experiencing dreams of Jesus and the Rosary that stayed with me long after I woke up. I couldn't simply brush them aside. They stirred something in my heart and made me want to understand more about Jesus, the Catholic faith, and the peace I felt being drawn toward it. What started as curiosity slowly became something much deeper. I began exploring the faith, learning about the Mass, and discovering the beauty of the Eucharist, Adoration, and the Rosary. The more I learned, the more I felt that I was being invited into something I had been searching for without even realizing it.

My journey to Catholicism has not been about suddenly having all the answers or becoming a perfect person. If anything, it has reminded me just how much I still have to learn and how much I need God's grace. I am someone who struggles with anxiety, and there have been seasons when the worries of everyday life feel like more than I know how to carry. Work, responsibilities, relationships, and the pressure of trying to keep everything together can become overwhelming. For a long time, I searched for a kind of peace that I couldn't seem to find on my own.

But in the quiet of Adoration, in the beauty of the Holy Mass, and in praying the Rosary, I began to experience a peace I never thought could exist alongside the anxiety I carry. My circumstances don't always change, and my anxious thoughts don't magically disappear, but I am learning that I don't have to face them alone. There is something incredibly comforting about sitting before Jesus and simply being present with Him, without needing to prove anything, fix everything, or have the right words to say.

That is a big part of why I created this blog. I want to share what it looks like to grow in faith while still navigating real life. I want to talk about the beautiful moments, the difficult days, the burnout, the uncertainty, the responsibilities of work and home, and the little ways God shows up when we need Him most. I am still becoming the woman I hope to be, still learning to trust God, and still discovering what it means to live a life rooted in faith.

If you're a woman who feels overwhelmed, struggles with anxiety, is curious about Catholicism, or is simply trying to find your way back to God, I hope you feel at home here. You don't need to have a perfect life or a perfect faith to belong. You can come exactly as you are, with all your questions, worries, hopes, and imperfections.

Because if there is one thing I am learning on this journey, it is that Jesus doesn't wait for us to get our lives together before He loves us. He meets us in the middle of our mess, in the quiet moments when we're searching for answers, and in the places where we feel most lost. And sometimes, the very place we go looking for Him becomes the place where we finally begin to find peace.

What I Write About

Catholic Life

The liturgy, the sacraments, the saints, the hard questions. Faith as it is actually lived, not as it looks on a holy card.

Military Spouse

Deployments, PCS moves, the loneliness, the community, the particular spirituality of waiting. For the women holding down the home front.

Anxiety & Faith

What it looks like to have an anxiety disorder and a prayer life at the same time. Honest, practical, and never preachy.

A Note to You

If you found this blog because you are anxious and Catholic and not sure those two things can coexist — they can. I promise. You are in the right place.

If you found it because you are a military spouse looking for someone who gets it — I get it. Pull up a pew.

And if you found it because you just like reading about faith and life and the messy middle — welcome. I am glad you are here.
